You would be hard pressed to wait a year to read this lovely book or try some of these positions. I expect most readers to jump right into the photos of a strong, handsome man and a very beautiful woman in sexual positions with funny names. If you are experienced in Tantra, you might know many of the names, and if you are in good physical shape you might be able to get into all of these positions. If you are like me, in less than youthful and photogenic shape, you will probably give them a try anyway.
After a while, you will take time read the excellent text material that opens the book. If you don’t know anything about the Kama Sutra, you can still enjoy the positions, but if you read Part I you will learn enough about the source of this information to appreciate the principals of taking your time to relax, sit back and learn about sacred sexuality, pleasure and intimacy. The section is brief, and yet complete enough to prepare you to see the great history of the knowledge of sacred pleasure passed down to us.
Part II is divided into four sections, Spark, Flame, Fire and Wild Fire. They are increasingly athletic, and experience in Yoga would be an advantage, but even if you cannot achieve all the positions, you will learn something each week from the accompanying text. You will be encouraged to be more sexual, and to experience it as sacred.
Lisa is a professional Tantra educator and sacred sexuality coach, especially focused on professional women. She has appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show, Oxygen channel and VH1, and taught classes on cruise ships. You can see her video appearances on her web site www.awakeningshakti.com
Disclaimer: I don’t know Lisa but I heard about the book from mutual friends and got a copy free from the publisher (one of the perks of being a publisher myself).
